Georgia high school student wounded after getting off school bus

18-year-old DeKalb County, Ga., student is in stable condition

A high school student in DeKalb County, Ga., is recovering from gunshot wounds suffered in a Thursday afternoon attack. Remarco Vickers, an 18-year-old student at Towers High School, was shot just before 4 p.m. He had just gotten off a school bus and as the bus pulled away, he was approached and shot by someone armed with a handgun. The victim was in stable condition.
