Georgia's first all-girls charter schools opens

Ivy Preparatory Academy, Georgia's first all-girls charter school, has opened in Norcross. Classes are being held at Christ the King Lutheran Church while the school's permanent space is being prepared for students. The school has about 120 sixth-graders in its first year, and will grow one grade per year until it has students in grade 6 to 12.
