MIchigan district wants to use surplus bond funds to spruce up high school

The Gladwin (Mich.) Community School District is seeking voter approval on Aug. 7 to re-invest surplus bond funds so it can renovate its high school. The district has $700,000 left over from a previous bond proposal, and by re-investing, it can raise about $2.4 million for high school projects. The district wants to upgrade the high school by replacing the roof, repairing the heating and cooling system, stopping the cafetorium from flooding, installing new ceiling tile and improving student lockers.
