Renovations will convert 99-year-old former federal building to classroom and gallery space

From The Grand Rapids Press: The 99-year-old former Federal Building in downtown Grand Rapids, Mich., will be renovated and become part of the Kendall College of Art and Design, adding 91,000 square feet of classroom, studio and gallery space to the adjacent college. Ferris State University's board and Grand Rapids city commissioners approved leases that eventually will turn the facility over to Kendall, which has been part of Ferris since 2000.
