Harry Potter books can stay, judge rules

Parent fails to persuade judge to remove Harry Potter books from Gwinnett County, Ga., schools.

A judge in Georgia has upheld a decision by the Gwinnett County public schools to reject a parents' request to remove the Harry Potter series of books from school libraries. The hearing Tuesday marked the fifth defeat for Laura Mallory of Loganville, Ga., who has children in the Gwinnett schools and who launched her anti-Potter crusade in 2005.
