Lincoln-Way West will open later this year

From The Joliet Herald-News: Lincoln-Way West High School in New Lenox, Ill., won't be dedicated for more than three months, but Superintendent Lawrence Wylie says the $90 million facility is mostly completed . The main building resembles a two-story big "U" between the fine arts and athletic wings. The front of the central structure is composed entirely by science labs on the second floor, while "the fingers" contain regular classrooms. The auditorium boasts a backstage with a vast "fly area" for sets to raise up and down for the school musical and doors large enough for a semi-trailer to unload. The cafeteria has a wall of glass windows that look out onto where the grass will be, as well as picnic tables where students will be able to eat outside in nicer weather. A room that will be used for luncheons and meetings by community groups also is nearby. The architect is Dahlquist & Lutzow Architects.
