High school expansion moves forward in Kansas

DeSoto district will add onto facility in Shawnee, Kan.

TheDeSoto (Kan.) school district is expanding Mill Valley High School in Shawnee. The project will boos the capacity of the school from 1,000 students to 1,400. The district is moving forward with the work after voters approved a $75 million bond proposal earlier this month. The expansion is scheduled to be finished by the start of the 2010-2011 school year.
