Hillsborough County (Fla.) district to create 2 single-sex middle schools

One campus will have boys only; the other, girls only

From The St. Petersburg Times: Two Hillsborough County (Fla.) middle schools will be converted next fall to single-gender status. Franklin Middle School will become an "all-male school focusing on academic rigor and personal growth." Ferrell Middle will become an all-girls academy. The changes are being partly funded by a $11.5 million federal magnet school grant.
