Hotel in Indianapolis will become multi-use facility for IUPUI

Building will have student housing, dining space and classrooms

From The Indianapolis Star: Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis is converting a campus hotel into housing and classroom space. By the 2013 fall semester, the University Place Hotel and Conference Center will become a multi-use building that includes student housing, classroom space and a dining hall. The facility was built in 1987 but has lost money in six of the past seven years -- including $1.9 million in 2011.
