High school offers money for students who inform on classmates

After the principal at Wilde Lake High School in Columbia, Md., offered cash rewards to students for information on who was involved in a cafeteria food fight last month, a debate erupted over whether administrators should reward students for informing on misbehaving peers. A spokeswoman for the Howard County school system says paying students for information happens at a few Howard schools "a couple times a year."
