Montana district plans combined junior-senior high building

From The Billings Gazette: The Huntley Project (Mont.) School District facilities committee has approved a 97,000-square-foot design for a combined junior high and high school. The building design calls for separate wings on the north side for the junior high and high school. School offices are off each side of the commons with corridors that run through the building and access the academic wings. The plan includes a quasi-third level on the wings with windows to let in natural light that can be filtered to the lower levels. The building would have 64,344 square feet on the first floor and 32,850 square feet on the upper level. Estimates peg construction costs at about $17 million. The architect is JGA Architects.
