Idaho district seeks funds for new high school New Middleton High campus would ease crowding
Voters in theMiddleton (Idaho) district will decide on Sept. 18 whether to approve a $51.9 million bond issue that would pay for a new high school. The existing high school was damaged last year in a fire; it has reopened, but has been remodeled to serve as a middle school after a new high school is built. Officials say the new high school is needed to alleviate crowding. About 915 students are on a campus meant to accommodate only 725, and the district expects enrollment to continue growing.
