17-year-old from Schaumburg High School allegedly talked about bringing gun to school to shoot two students

A Schaumburg (Ill.) High School student has been charged with felony possession of a stolen firearm and two misdemeanors after she allegedly stashed a stolen gun in her car and talked about killing two other students. Prosecutors say Ashley M. Ross, 17, decided to leave the loaded pistol and a box of ammunition in the car, which she parked several blocks from the high school, because she didn't want to go to jail. The teen's purported targets were a female friend and the friend's boyfriend. Following a parent's tip, a Schaumburg police officer based at the school identified Ross as the suspect and found the gun in her car.
