School will use funds where they could benefit more students

From The Chicago Tribune: The Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago has built its reputation on academics, not athletics. Even so, the news that the school is shutting down its basketball programs was crushing for players who had dreamed their whole lives of making it to the collegiate level. IIT President John Anderson says all scholarships to students on the varsity men's and women's basketball teams would be honored as long as they were full-time students in good academic standing.
