Carpenters' strike put Eel River Elementary behind schedule

From The Fort Wayne News-Sentinel: The $19 million Eel River Elementary School in Fort Wayne, Ind., was scheduled to be completed earlier this month, but officials in the Northwest Allen County District say the project is behind schedule. Still, they hope to have the facility ready for students Aug. 13. A five-week carpenters' strike has put flooring and cabinetry work behind schedule. Teachers may not have access to the building until Aug. 8, which will leave little time to prepare their classrooms. The architect is Barton-Coe-Vilamaa Architects-Engineers.
