Indiana schools must cut budgets this month

From The Indianapolis Star: Indiana's public schools will have to begin trimming budgets in January after Gov. Mitch Daniels said he would accelerate a cut of nearly $300 million. The cuts will be spread among all school districts, based on the current funding formula, and amount to about 3.5 percent. The initial announcement indicated they would occur over 18 months, but they now will take place over 12.
