Indianapolis mayor says one charter school will be closed

Five schools have met renewal standards, but one has fallen short

From The Indianapolis Star: Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard has given the OK for five of six charter schools in the city to continue operating. Fountain Square Academy will not meet renewal standards and will be closed at the end of the 2011-2012 school year. The decisions came after an evaluation by the city's Office of Education Innovation and Indianapolis Charter Schools Advisory Board.
