Indianapolis district wants to spend $675,000 on electronic signs

From The Indianapolis Star: Two months after cutting 300 teaching positions, the Indianapolis school district wants to spend about $675,000 to erect electronic message signs in front of nine schools. The district defends the 23-foot-high signs as a good way to communicate to the public about school and community events happening at the schools.
