Indianapolis district will stop considering middle grades as part of magnet high schools

From The Indianapolis Star: In a move designed to protect its high schools against future state takeover, the Indianapolis school district will formally divide community and magnet high schools so that middle school students are classified as being in a separate school. Little changes at the affected schools, which combine middle school and high school students. Students will remain in the same buildings. At some of the schools, students in middle grades have lower test scores, which has put some of the schools at risk of takeover by the state.
