2 shuttered Indianapolis schools will be torn down

The Indianapolis Public School Board has voted to demolish two 50-year-old schools it says it no longer can use and which would be expensive or impossible to repair. The district will tear down School 64 and School 92. The district will will keep several other closed schools -- McFarland and Forest Manor middle schools and Schools 21, 37 and 68 -- for storage or to reopen if the trend of declining enrollment reverses.
