Woman gets 34-year prison sentence for stealing identities of Irving (Texas) school district employees

From The Dallas Morning News: A 40-year-old woman was sentenced to serve 34 years in prison for stealing the identities of thousands of current and former Irving (Texas) school district teachers and other employees. Sharon Denise Seeley pleaded guilty to fraudulent use or possession of identifying information and credit card abuse. Irving school officials say thieves obtained names, Social Security numbers and other personal details of 3,200 teachers and other employees from an old benefits report. Seeley says the personal information she used was from a binder thrown in a school district trash bin. She says she and others used that information to obtain credit cards, write fake checks and create fake IDs used to make thousands of dollars in purchases.
