Journalism facility at Arizona State University was built quickly

$56 million Cronkite Center opened earlier this year

The $56-million, 235,000-square-foot Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication building onArizona State University's downtown Phoenix campus is an ungainly, six-story stack of classrooms, broadcast studios and offices. Relying on the "design-build" construction method, in which the contractor leads the overall construction team, the Cronkite Center construction took about 22 months from start to finish.
