From The Kansas City Star: A jury has awarded $362,000 in damages to a former Kansas City (Mo.) School District employee who contended that he was the victim of retaliation by then-Superintendent Anthony Amato. Emanuel McCrainey, who was Amato’s chief of staff, filed a human rights complaint in 2007, contending that Amato retaliated against him after he privately complained to Amato about the superintendent’s alleged use of derogatory names to describe two board members.
