Citing safety and other concerns, Kane County (Ill.) Regional Superintendent Clem Mejia is asking local school boards to use mobile classrooms as a last resort for solving crowding problems. Mejia has had ongoing discussions with superintendents from all nine county school districts in the past couple of years, but recently he sent formal correspondence urging them to consider portables as temporary solutions.
