Medical school in Kansas Citiy says it was defrauded by contractor

FromThe Kansas City Star: The Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences has filed a lawsuit accusing a contractor of defrauding the school of nearly a half million dollars. The university alleges that Rodriguez & Associates inflated quotes and altered checks to fraudulently collect $457,333 on a 2006 project. The work involved seating for an auditorium on the university’s campus.
