Kansas district ready to build 5th high school

Blue Valley Southwest is scheduled to open in 2010.

The Blue Valley (Kan.) District is ready to begin construction on Blue Valley Southwest High School. The district's fifth high school will have 300,000 square feet of space. It will be pinwheel-shaped, with several branches extending out from the core of the building. At the core, an open-air, fully enclosed courtyard will serve as a hub for students. The architect is Horst, Terrill and Karst Architects.
