Kansas will spend $7.7 million from stimulus on university repairs

From The Lawrence Journal-World: Higher education officials in Kansas have allocated $7.7 million in federal stimulus funds for repair projects at universities. The regents allocated all of the available current-year federal funding to 16 projects, determined by officials to be critically needed. Officials say that funding covers only a small percentage of the needed repairs at state university campuses. The backlog of repair and renovation projects has grown to $825 million, according to the regents.
