Kentucky district gets $2 million for solar panels at middle school

From The Cincinnati Enquirer: The Kenton County (Ky.) School District has received $2 million in federal funds to buy and install solar panels for the roof of the new Turkey Foot Middle School, which will open in August. District officials expect the $30 million school to produce as much energy as it uses with features such as the solar panels, vegetative roof, geothermal heating and cooling system, lighting-control system and rain-catch system.
