From The St. Paul Pioneer Press: An architecture firm has recommended that the Lakeville (Minn.) district should close Crystal Lake Elementary School. The firm, Wold Architects and Engineers, arrived at the recommendation after sifting through data on enrollment, building features, traffic patterns and more. The district administration had envisioned closing an elementary school next year and reopening it as a different facility. But the board asked school officials to shutter a school this fall. The district estimates the closure will save about $725,000.
