School spends $10.5 million on former pharmaceutical plant

From The Baltimore Sun: Stevenson University in Maryland has bought the Shire Pharmaceuticals plant adjacent to its Owings Mills campus. The $10.5 million purchase will enable the school to expand the campus in northwestern Baltimore County from 74 to 102 acres. The school also has a 60-acre campus about six miles southeast of the Owings Mills site. It plans to use the additional facilities to accommodate the School of the Sciences and School of Design. Stevenson expects to spend about $3 million to renovate the two one-story buildings on the site and expects to move in by August 2013
