Round Lake District 116 officials say allegations are unfounded

From The Daily Herald: School officials in Round Lake (Ill.) Area District 116 are denying accusations that administrators at Round Lake Middle School strip-searched a 13-year-old last April. A Round Lake Heights woman has sued the district for $1.2 million, contending that her son was forced to remove his clothing and pull down his underwear by administrators who were checking him for illegal drugs. The suit says no contraband was found, and the boy was humiliated and distressed by the intrusion. Round Lake Heights police say they investigated the strip-search allegation and deemed it unfounded.
