Lawsuit says Indiana student was attacked because of his Middle Eastern heritage

From The Gary Post-Tribune: The parents of a 17-year-old student at Lake Central High School in St. John, Ind., are suing the Lake Central school district after he suffered brain injury during a beating, allegedly from classmates because of his Middle Eastern background. The suit says that David Osama Haddad was bullied by the perpetrators for more than a year before the attack. Haddad was attacked in the hallway of the high school. He was treated at an area hospital.
