Black college in Memphis tries to survive

LeMoyne-Owen College is struggling to stay alive in a whirlpool of debt, declining enrollment and the chance it will lose its accreditation. But supporters say they won't let Memphis lose its only historically black college. School officials have come up with a seven-point recovery plan to achieve long-term gains by cutting costs, forming partnerships with area schools and improving academics.
