South Carolina district seeks $256 million in bonds

Voters in Lexington-Richland (S.C.) District 5 will decide whether to approve a $256.5 million bond request. The money would enable the district to build a new elementary school, a new middle school and a new high school, which would have a stand-alone vocational and technical training center. The bonds also would pay for renovations at seven existing schools.
