MIssouri district seeks tax hike for construction projects

From The Liberty Tribune: The Liberty (Mo.) Board of Education is seeking approval of a levy increase that would pay for $41 million in school construction. The money would pay for a $14.2 million elementary school, an $18.5 million addition at Liberty North High School, a $4.2 million addition at Liberty High School and a $4.2 million athletic stadium. The district is seeking a tax increase instead of a bond issue because due the district has hit its bonding capacity and can't seek another bond issue until 2017.
