Fire forces Livonia (Mich.) district to revive old closed campus

One week after they were displaced by a suspicious fire, students and staffers at Webster Elementary School in Livonia, Mich., returned to classes in a new school Monday. The Taylor Elementary facility, shuttered nearly two years ago as part of a district restructuring plan, has reopened to accommodate the 350 students. The Webster campus probably will be closed for the rest of the year because of the fire, which destroyed 10 classrooms.
