Louisiana district plans construction of first green school

From The Town Talk: The Rapides Parish (La.) School District is planning to begin construction of its first environmentally friendly or "green" school, which will be situated on a 33-acre site in Woodworth. The school for pre-kindergarten through eighth-grade students is expected to open in August 2012. Officials say they plan to seek LEED certification.
