High school renovations approved in Connecticut district

TheLyme-Old Lyme (Conn.) School District has won approval of a $47.8 million bond proposal that will pay for high school renovations. The district says the project will add features absent in the existing high school—a secure front entrance next to a consolidated administrative area and a more functional cafeteria/kitchen area, which also serves as a reception area for both the auditorium and gym. The construction plan is phased to minimize impact on curriculum, and the auditorium is out of use as briefly as possible.
