$1.5 million gift will improve energy efficiency in Ohio district

From The Cincinnati Enquirer: An anonymous $1.5 million donation will enable the Madeira (Ohio) school district to launch a renewable energy project and efficiency initiatives to reduce energy costs. The gift to the Madeira Schools Foundation is believed to be the largest donation the district has received. The donor would like solar panels installed, so there will be some panels placed at the elementary school and possibly at the middle school. A district energy-efficiency study last week recommended steps that include adjusting thermostat settings and replacing inefficient lighting.
