Principals say students will use devices to do homework while riding to and from school

From The Sarasota Herald-Tribune: The Manatee County (Fla.) school board has adopted a new policy to allow students to use their laptops and iPads while riding on school buses. The change was made after school principals said the ban was preventing some students from working on homework assignments on their way to and from school. Students also will be permitted to use devices such as iPods providing they use earphones in only one ear so they can hear the bus driver.
