Florida district buys building to consolidate staff

The Manatee County (Fla.) school district has agreed to buy the Superior Electronics building in Bradenton for $15.8 million, about $1.2 million less than its appraised value. District officials plan to use the building and its 18 surrounding acres to consolidate employees scattered throughout the county.
