Energy upgrades earn Mankato (Minn.) district more than $100,000 in energy rebates

From The Mankato Free Press: The Mankato (Minn.) school district has earned more than $104,000 in rebates for improving energy efficiency on several of its campuses. The largest rebate was awarded for improvements at Rosa Parks Elementary School. The facility's geothermal heating system, as well as upgrades such as occupancy sensors for lighting, water-saving fixtures and south-facing windows, earned the district a $57,960 rebate from Xcel Energy. A renovation that improved efficiency at Eagle Lake Elementary resulted in a $10,076 rebate, and window upgrades at Lincoln Community Center earned a $5,204 rebate.
