Alaska district seeks funds for security

TheMatanuska-Susitna Borough (Alaska) district is seeking approval on Oct. 7 for a $19.1 million bond. About $14 million would be spent on safety and security, including 42 surveillance cameras, new fencing, added telephones and so-called "panic buttons" that would trigger a building-wide lockdown.
