Drug offenses at Hawaii school increase without dog's presence

Drug confiscations have increased at a Hawaii public high school since a dog stopped randomly visiting the campus to sniff for substances. So far this school year, there have been 19 drug offenses at Lahainaluna High School in Maui, compared with two during the same time in the previous year. An area superintendent is citing the statistics in an effort to make the pilot project permanent.
