Memphis may bring some busing in-house

District expects the costs of contracted busing service to rise more than 20 percent.

The Memphis district is looking at bringing some of its busing in-house. Michael Goar, the district's chief operating officer, is recommending that the district bring busing for extracurricular activities, as well as for students in the Berryhill and Countrywood Annexation areas in Cordova, in-house.
