From The Indianapolis Star: Avon (Ind.) Middle School North has become the first K-12 building in Indiana to receive the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification for environmentally friendly design and construction. The $33.5 million, 220,000-square-foot middle school opened last fall.
