Midland (Texas) district converts elementary to fine arts magnet

TheMidland (Texas) Independent School District is converting one of its elementary schools to a fine arts magnet. To transform Bowie Elementary for its new education focus, the district is spending $3.6 million on renovations. The school will house 500 students and include a dance studio, choir room, art room with a kiln, theater arts with a small black-box theater and a piano lab. It also will have an orchestra room and a band hall. The architect is Rhotenberry-Wellen Architects. To read The Midland Reporter-Telegram article, click here.
