Milwaukee chooses new school superintendent

Gregory Thornton now leads the Chester Upland (Pa.) system
FromThe Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: The Milwaukee School Board has voted to select Gregory Thornton as its next superintendent. Thornton, in his mid-50s, is superintendent of the 7,800-student Chester Upland (Pa.) School District. He previously held high-level administrative posts in the Montgomery County (Md.) Public Schools, as well as in the Philadelphia School District.
