West Virginia county breaks ground on centralized high school campus

From The Williamson Daily News: The Mingo County (W.Va.) district has begun construction on Mingo Central High School. The new centralized campus would replace high schools in Williamson, Delbarton, Matewan and Gilbert. Officials hope it will be completed by 2010. The site of the school is a reclaimed mountaintop mining site, and it has an elevation of 1,950 feet. The architect is Williamson Shriver Architects.
