Some districts may sever their ties with existing charters
From The Minneapolis Star Tribune: A new Minnesota law intended to strengthen charter schools is driving a wedge between them and traditional school districts. Some districts are preparing to sever their connections to charter schools, saying they need to focus time and attention on their own schools. The new law is intended to address criticism about the quality of the education, administration and programs delivered by the state's 152 charter schools, which enroll 33,000 students.
